Sophie Thompson is a textile designer with extensive experience in the development of furnishing fabrics for global brands and manufacturers. She gained a First Class Degree in Textile Design and then went on to gain experience working in Mumbai for GM Syntex, one of the world's largest furnishing fabric manufacturers. She handled multiple client accounts including John Lewis, Kravet, Swavelle, Fabricut, James Dunlop, Warwick, Pottery Barn and Macys as well as having designs used by well known U.K brands such as Ashley Wilde, Prestigious Textiles and Clarke and Clarke.

She currently works from the U.K. developing creative collections from initial concept to final order. Having strong links to all major Indian mills she aims to bridge the gap between design brands and international manufacturers. Sophie works on the development of prints, jacquards, embroideries, wovens and mixed process furnishings fabrics. She is passionate about good design yet also in commerciality and product profitability. By using her strong commercial design eye, colour sense and extensive knowledge of textile construction she develops on trend creative collections.

She offers design services such as artwork creation and concept development, colour palette development, quality/ technical troubleshooting and print colouring. She also takes charge of additional creative work including styling, photography, graphic design and social media brand promotion.
